These Terms of Service govern your use of lawrinwalker.co.nz and the naturopathic services provided by Lawrin Walker, a degree-qualified Naturopath and Medical Herbalist and member of the Naturopaths & Medical Herbalists of New Zealand (NMHNZ), operating from Whangarei, New Zealand.

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

2. Services provided

Lawrin Walker Naturopath offers the following services:

• Initial naturopathic consultations, in-person in Whangarei or online
• Follow-up naturopathic consultations, in-person or online
• Metabolic Balance® personalised nutrition programme, in-person or online
• Herbal and nutritional prescribing as part of consultations

All services are provided for general health and wellness purposes. They are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment by a registered medical practitioner.

3. Not a substitute for medical advice

The information provided on this website and during consultations is for general health and wellness purposes only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a registered medical practitioner.

If you have a medical emergency, please call 111 or seek immediate medical attention. Always consult your doctor or another qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

The interactive health assessment quizzes available on this website are for informational and educational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional medical diagnosis or advice. Quiz results are personalised insights based on your responses and should not be interpreted as a medical diagnosis. Always consult a healthcare professional before starting any new health regimen or treatment plan.

4. Appointments and bookings

When you book an appointment with Lawrin Walker Naturopath, you agree to the following:

Accurate information: You will provide accurate and complete health and personal information to enable me to provide appropriate care.

Cancellations and rescheduling: Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments without notice may incur a cancellation fee.

Online consultations: You are responsible for ensuring a reliable internet connection and a private, suitable environment for online appointments. Technical difficulties on your end do not entitle you to a refund or rescheduled appointment without prior notice.

Punctuality: Please aim to arrive or connect on time. Late arrivals may result in a reduced appointment time, with the full fee still applying.

5. Fees and payment

Current consultation fees are listed on the Services page of this website. Fees are subject to change and the current fee applies at the time of booking.

• Payment is due at the time of your appointment unless otherwise agreed in advance.
• Payment may be made by the methods listed on the booking or contact page.
• Herbal formulas and nutritional supplements prescribed during your consultation are charged separately at the time of prescribing.
• The Metabolic Balance® programme is priced on enquiry. A deposit or full payment may be required at the time of enrolment.

6. Refund policy

Consultation fees are generally non-refundable once an appointment has taken place. If you are dissatisfied with a service, please contact me directly at naturopath@lawrinwalker.co.nz so we can discuss your concerns.

Refunds for products, herbal formulas, and supplements will be considered only where a product is faulty or incorrectly supplied. Change-of-mind refunds are not available for prescribed health products.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

7. Confidentiality

All personal and health information shared during consultations is treated as strictly confidential and handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Your information will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent, except where required by law.

8. Website use

By using lawrinwalker.co.nz, you agree to:

• Use the website for lawful purposes only
• Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website
• Not use the website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, Lawrin Walker Naturopath will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of this website or the services provided, including but not limited to:

• Reliance on information published on this website
• Any health outcomes resulting from naturopathic recommendations
• Technical issues with online consultations or booking systems
• Loss of data or unauthorised access beyond our reasonable control

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under New Zealand law.
